The Future of Home Health Project Briefing: Achieving the Triple Aim with Home Health Care
On Monday, May 5, the Alliance for Home Health Quality and Innovation will formally launch the Future of Home Health Project, an initiative to improve the understanding of home health’s role in the future of the U.S. health care system through research, analysis and discussion. The Future of Home Health Project aims to equip policymakers, health care providers, and the public with the information needed to ensure that America’s seniors and Americans with disabilities receive the best care possible in the comfort and dignity of their own homes.
At the briefing, the Alliance will release a white paper that examines the value of home health care, public policies having an impact on care delivery, challenges for meeting future needs, and emerging health care system reforms, which will serve as a starting point for Future of Home Health Project research, analysis, and discussion.
A panel of leading experts will discuss home health care in the context of achieving the Triple Aim of improving patient experience, improving population health, and reducing per capita costs. Panelists will participate in a moderated discussion on the role of home health in caring for an aging American population.
